FROM THE OSSAA:
Any time an egregious act of unsportsmanlike conduct occurs two or more times during the same season, at the same school, in the same activity, the team and/or individual will be suspended from participation in that activity for the remainder of the season. Egregious acts of unsportsmanlike conduct will be defined as instances not within the OSSAA adopted rules of the contest. Â In the event the second act of misconduct occurs when there are no contests left in the current season, the penalty will be applied to the next season in the same activity. Â The OSSAA will notify the school that the team and/or individual has been placed on warning after the first offense. Â Unsportsmanlike acts under this policy will include acts by coaches, players, or spectators. Â

Just a quick note for changes in the cafteria. We are still a free lunch/breakfast school. Because of Federal regulations we are having to scan student numbers to keep track of how many we serve.

We anticipate opening the first round of bids on September 15. We are still hoping to break ground in early October. I will update more as we go. Thank you for your support!

Savage Family:
We are saddened to share that one of our students passed away today. We are unable to share any additional information with you at this time, but wanted to let you know that your child may ask questions or need support. Staff members will be available at the school tomorrow for students who need special attention and support. The District has contacted grief counselors to assist students, and details about their schedule will be released tomorrow.
Everyone reacts in different ways to the death of one of our school family. We all should expect and try to understand that there will be a variety of emotions and responses to what has occurred. The most important thing we can do is to be supportive and encourage an open expression of feelings.
If you feel that your child or family needs some assistance, please contact the school, and we will do everything we can to help you.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school at 918-469-3100 or 918-469-3309. We know that you will join us in our concern and sympathy for the family.
Todd Wilson
Superintendent

Patrons of Quinton Public Schools. I have been asked several times if we are making changes to bus routes due to higher fuel costs. At this time we are not planning to do so. However, we are asking parents of bus riders to help us so we can hopefully avoid changes. Parents, if you know in advance your student or students will not be riding please let your driver know as far in advance as possible. A 15 second phone call will help us to cut down on unnecessary miles. Hopefully by working together we can continue the best service we can.

All students who are enrolled in athletics:
If you do not fill out your online enrollment, including drug testing consent form, cardiac arrest and concussion forms and turn in your physical, by the time school begins you will be put in another class. If practices begin before school starts, these things MUST be done before you can practice.
