We will be in person with mask next week. Thank you to all who are going above and beyond to help us accomplish this. Please keep taking precautions and be safe.

"Good things going on" at Quinton Schools. I know everyone is tired of sad and depressing things so lets celebrate the good.
Academically- We have been able to put a great amount of curriculum online for students to access. We have checked out many chrome books and hot spots to give students access from multiple locations. Our virtual program allows students to learn virtually but they are still able to participate in extra curricular activities if they choose. This is a great option that is not available many other places in our area.
Ag- They have placed well in project contests and other activities. I believe those young people can build just about anything. Stock show season is coming up soon.
Band- They have competed in several contests this year and have placed at the top about everywhere they have been. They sound awesome.
Basketball- Our boys made it to the "Big House" in March. They dropped a close one to eventual champ Garber. First trip back for the boys since 2003. Tyler Cloud was selected for All-State. The girls were very competitive last year also. We haven't really got to kick off this season yet but we are expecting good things this year also. The JH teams look to be pretty salty. The Elementary teams have played most of their season and have represented themselves and our school very well.
Cheer- They are still waiting to compete at Regionals and then State. It has been pushed back several times. They always represent us well in those competitions.
Fast pitch Softball- They won the District Championship this year which is the first time in 4 years. Madison Daniels, Audrey Etchison, Ashlynn Franklin and Grace Williams made the McAlester News Capital All Area team. Madison also made All Region and signed a full scholarship offer with Eastern.
Football- Made the 3rd round of playoffs this year. 5 players made All District ( I can't announce who yet). Clint Barnes was selected to play in the All Star game.
Speech and Debate- They have not been able to attend a lot of contests so far but are doing very well. Expecting good things to come.
We are working hard to not only give our students a great education but also a great educational experience. There are a lot of " Good things going on" in Quinton, Oklahoma.

i apologize for not including this yesterday. Yes we will livestream the home High School games free of charge. We will post the exact details on how to access the games on the website. Sorry for not including this yesterday.

Patrons of Quinton Public Schools. As many of you are aware Governor Stitt issued an executive order last week regarding indoor sporting events. Schools can issue 4 tickets per participant up to 50% of capacity whichever is Less. This basically will take us to a stricter version of our Level 2 for games. We will issue 4 tickets per participant. There will be no extra tickets. This will apply to all home games from Elementary through High School. You must have a ticket to enter. We will post a more detailed information sheet later today. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Parents and Guardians of Quinton Students. We still have chrome books and some hotspots available for check out. If you have not filled out an application yet it would be a great time to do so. We are trying to make sure all students have the ability to access Google Classroom and any interactive lessons. Please either call 918-469-3100 or email quintontech@quintonschools.com

The cafeteria will do a Grab and Go meal with breakfast and lunch included. Can pick up at back door of cafeteria from 10-11:30.

Parents and Guardians of Quinton Elementary Students. We will be going Distance Learning for tomorrow. Our roads, especially our side and county roads, will be slick in the morning. We do not want to take a chance with the safety of our students and staff. Most of the accumulation on the roads will probably be frozen in the morning. Please have students check their Google Classroom for assignments. We wanted to give you this information as early as possible so plans and arrangements could be made for tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Just a reminder for the JH/HS students:
Log on to Google Classroom or Edmentum (whichever you have) each school day to see what your teacher has assigned for the day.

Parents and Guardians of Quinton Students. We have had a positive case at the JH/HS site. We are contacting those students who are affected. We will transition to distance learning at the JH/HS ONLY starting tomorrow and through the end of next week. This is the guidance we received from the Health Department and a state epidemiologist. This affects only the JH/HS at this time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The game with Sallisaw Central that was scheduled for Monday, Dec. 14th has been postponed. We will let you know a make up day as soon as we can.

We will be in person with mask this week. Both KTC's in person with mask. Please follow healthcare guidelines if your student has been ill or running fever. Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizer often. We are all in this together.
