Attention Stigler KTC students and parents. Stigler KTC will be distance learning next week.
Attention KTC Students and Parents, McAlester will run normal routes for Quinton ONLY on Tuesday and Thursday. They will be distance on the other days. Have not heard from Stigler yet but will update as soon as I do.
ATTENTION QUINTON PARENTS, GUARDIANS & STUDENTS,
Our numbers are trending down finally. Our zip code is at 14 today which is down somewhat. However, we are still the second highest zip code in Pittsburg County behind McAlester. We will still be in-person instruction next week with the same mask requirements. Lets all keep doing what we are doing. Parents please remind students to wash hands frequently even at home. We are disinfecting rooms, halls, restrooms, dressing rooms, cafeteria and buses every day. We are in this together for the students. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
ATTENTION QUINTON PARENTS, GUARDIANS & STUDENTS.
I'm trying to avoid some confusion. IF a student ( or staff) is sent home with fever they can (1) quarantine 10 school days (2) obtain a Negative COVID test AND be fever free for 3 days with no fever reducing medication. One of these must be met before return to school. However, if a student (or staff) has been in close contact with a Positive Case they should quarantine 14 days even with a negative test. This is straight from the CDC and State Health Department.
There is an update HS and JH football schedule on the website. It is in the Documents Tab in the Athletics folder which is in the 2020-21 School Year.
Stigler and McAlester KTC will both be distance learning only next week.
Attention Parents, Guardians & Students. We will be in -person instruction effective Monday, August 24. Our county is Orange so masks will be required for grades 4-12 and all staff. Grades below 4th strongly encouraged. All normal safety protocols will be followed including temp checks etc. Parents here is where we need your help. If you have a child that is ill don't send them or any siblings in the same home until you can rule out Covid. Also we have received our shipment of PPE from the state. Monday we will hand out 2 reusable masks for every in-person student. Lets all work together to provide the best education for these students we possibly can.
Attention Parents, Guardians & Students. If you have not completed the online enrollment your student will not be allowed to participate or practice any extra-curricular activities. Those forms must be completed before they can participate.
Handbook update
On page 13 of the student handbook it is stated that a child can return after being fever free for 24 hours.
The policy has been updated that a child must be fever free for three days without medication.
